Mary Lu Schweitzer
ABOUT ME
Mary Lu Schweitzer has more than 25 years of experience spanning the areas of training, education, organization development, and international development. She joined the Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service’s Center for Training and Organization Development (CTOD) in January 2017 in the role of executive consultant and training specialist. In this capacity, she designs solutions in the areas of strategic planning, team building, leadership transitions, and in targeted topic areas such as intercultural competence. Schweitzer also facilitates classroom courses such as FHRM (Fundamentals of Human Resource Management), Experienced Supervisor Applied Workshop, Crucial Conversations, InsideOut GROW Coaching, Managing Transitions, and APHIS’ Career Development Center. She is a certified trainer in the MBTI and DiSC and debriefs 360 assessment feedback conversations. Schweitzer is nearing completion of her coaching certification in the integral coaching methodology.
Prior to joining the CTOD team, Schweitzer spent 12 years with the Peace Corps in a variety of international and domestic positions.
