Nick has been working in learning for around 20 years, starting out as a psychology lecturer. Since that time he has worked for a communications consultancy, for Siemens, and for the BBC in roles which have encompassed media production, elearning, learning systems and social media. He is a member of the Learning Performance Institute advisory board, and an active blogger and speaker.
Now Director of Online & Informal Learning at BP, Nick is responsible for a small team that set out to make a big difference to BP by applying technology in ways which help BP staff develop, perform and connect. What makes his team’s approach different is an emphasis on understanding the audience, delivering behavioural & cultural change, and innovative uses of technology.
