Sherri Blix is an Organization Development (OD) consultant and leadership coach with over 15 years’ business experience. With a strong foundation in theories, processes, and practices that improve individual, group, and organizational performance, she quickly identifies the most effective path forward to maximize performance improvement opportunities.
Sherri has worked, consulted, or coached for companies such as Deloitte Consulting, Revlon, Beam/Suntory, BMO Harris, Northern Trust Company, McDonald’s, ITW, CUNA Mutual Group, Rauland, CCH/Wolters Kluwer, Medline, Stepan Company, and the American Heart Association. Projects at these companies included: developing and executing a 360° Feedback and Coaching Program for senior leadership, constructing a three-year Learning and Development strategy for global leaders, and designing and implementing a year-long program for high-potential leaders.
In her coaching engagements, Sherri’s collaborative process focuses on the leader’s strengths, identifies opportunities for growth and development, and cultivates in the client a deeper self-awareness. Her coaching encourages clients to set a compelling vision, exemplify their values, prioritize meaningful goals, take bold actions, and ultimately achieve impressive results.
Sherri offers helpful resources, tools, and exercises to support clients in making changes and sustaining new behaviors. She holds clients accountable to complete what they committed to doing. Sherri provides honest feedback directly, yet in a manner that can be more easily received. She makes herself available to clients who would like ongoing support or check-ins between sessions.
Sherri has coached leaders across numerous industries and at various levels. Her coaching not only focuses on building greater leadership capabilities in general, but can also address more specific aspects of leadership such as communication style, presentation skills, and executive presence.
She holds an undergraduate degree in Communication from Northwestern University and a Master’s degree in Human Resources from Loyola University Chicago. In addition to coaching, Sherri facilitates workshops on a variety of professional development topics and serves as an Adjunct Instructor in Human Resource Development at the Quinlan Business School, Loyola University Chicago.
