Build, Measure, Learn: Lean UX for Instructional Design

Thursday, January 25, 2018

Are you designing for your users, or your managers? Are you designing to solve problems, or produce deliverables? What happens when you design for outcomes (the change you make) instead of outputs (the work you do)? Inspired by Lean and Agile development methods, the principles of Lean user experience (UX) can help you move from deliverables-based design to a lighter, faster process that results in improved outcomes. During this session, you'll review the build, measure, learn loop of Lean UX and discover three principles to keep in mind as you design user-centric learning. You will walk away with a set of tools and action items you can apply to your work immediately after the session. This session was recorded at the ATD 2018 TechKnowledge conference in San Jose, California.
