TDI Session: Mobile Learning: Yale Medical Group Introduces Best Practices for Branding New Training

Tuesday, December 18, 2018

When Yale Medical Group transitioned its brand to Yale Medicine in 2016, its employees and physicians completed an enterprise-wide blended learning program that explained details such as the new mission, vision, and values of the organization. Two years later, with a new learning management system, strong partnership with the Yale New Haven Health System, and the physician group’s mobile infrastructure, Yale Medicine sustains its branding communication by using mobile learning to further the reach of learning access. This session will describe the journey to develop and implement a mobile learning course for a highly distributed academic healthcare organization. Highlights will include priorities to consider when implementing mobile learning, balancing current realities with innovations within reach, and identifying potential pitfalls. In this session, you will: -Identify key decisions and priorities when choosing to develop a mobile learning course in the healthcare sector. -Describe the change management activities adapted to various populations, including physicians and frontline and back office staff. -Explain collaborate approaches to balance innovation with using what’s available. -Describe content considerations when developing a course to educate an organization’s brand.
