A Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD®) has direct experience in the field of talent development. CPTDs understand, and can affect, the value and impact employee talent development strategies bring to the success of an organization. A CPTD can develop, implement, and evaluate solutions that impact an organization’s ability to achieve its goals and drive competitive advantage.

To earn the CPTD credential, candidates must meet the program’s eligibility requirements and successfully pass a three-hour standardized exam. This ensures that candidates have the professional experience and foundational knowledge to be successful on the exam and demonstrate the level of expertise the credential represents. To maintain the designation, recertification is required every three years through documented professional development activities.
