One of the industry’s custom e-learning development companies, eLearning.net, is awarding four scholarships for adult workers furthering their education in e-learning design, learning technologies, or instructional design. These scholarships are designed to help learning and development professionals pursue their own continuing education and apply the latest in instructional design theory and educational technologies to their work and build better training programs.
There will be two $1,500 scholarships awarded for Bachelor’s or Master’s degree programs, and two $750 scholarships awarded for eligible certificate programs. Degree programs must be offered by a U.S.-based regionally or nationally accredited institution. Certificate programs must be offered by an industry recognized organization such as ATD Education or the eLearning Guild, or accredited by an accredited colleges and universities.
To apply for a scholarship, interested candidates must submit a type-written (PDF document) essay. Each essay should describe a little about the applicant, including:
professional work history
experience in developing online training programs either individually or as part of a team
reason for pursing an education in instructional design, e-learning development, learning technologies, or related field
how the applicant will apply what he or she learns to future work.
All essays will be reviewed by a panel of three judges. Submissions are due by August 12, 2016. Learn more at https://elearning.net/scholarship.
