Videos Take Center Stage

Friday, January 15, 2021

A new Association for Talent Development research report, Video for Learning: Engaging, Reaching, and Influencing, found that nearly 86 percent of organizations have increased their use of learning videos during the past five years. It’s no wonder, because according to Forrester Research data, employees are 75 percent more likely to watch a video than to read documents, emails, or online articles.

Organizations most frequently use learning videos for mandatory and compliance content (such as security and safety), technical content (including processes and procedures), and onboarding or new employee orientation, according to both sources. Here are additional reasons and ways companies are using video for talent development and employee communication.
