Get on the Tech Bandwagon

Friday, September 1, 2023

Learn the facts of updating your technology and reap the rewards.

What tools, technology, and related processes are staff currently using in your organization? Does your company want to showcase itself as future-forward by being on the cutting edge of technology? How will new technology fit in with current goals and objectives? All too often, organizations purchase technology and think about adding training as an afterthought. If you face that predicament, you can work to change it by becoming knowledgeable about your company's approach to technology.

In the September issue of TD at Work, "Preparing Your Organization for New Technologies," Debbie Richards addresses how companies can keep technology up to date, how to choose the best solutions, and how that can help save financial resources and time.

Gain insights into a path forward with updated technology from your IT team, colleagues and peers, leaders, and knowledge management teams. Keep an ear to the ground and ask who's using what and whether it's working.

Additional areas to keep in mind are your audience and its current technical capabilities and skill levels. If employees aren't ready for more change, a technology upgrade will be a hard sell at implementation time.
