Prioritizing Employees’ Well-Being Is the Catalyst of Organizational Success

Wednesday, August 4, 2021

Through a year and a half of chaos and upheaval, one thing is for certain: employment has changed forever. As the pandemic draws to a close, business leaders are thinking about the future of their workforces. One of the most tangible outcomes of this transition is that employee wellness is an emerging priority for organizations looking to mitigate the impacts of turnover and striving to increase employee engagement. According to the Future Workplace 2021 HR Sentiment study, 68 percent of senior HR professionals rated employee well-being and mental health as their top priorities. As such, it’s estimated that the corporate well-being market is estimated to grow to $87.4 billion by 2026. That said, it’s important to recognize that the concept of “employee well-being” has also changed with the times. It has expanded beyond a focus on the physical and mental to encompass social stability, mindfulness, emotional support, and continuing education. Employers who prioritize their employees in totality will be the best positioned going forward.
