Prescribe the right solution for closing performance gaps.

Once you have uncovered performance issues, it is important to find the right solution. Research tells us that more than 80 percent of the time performance gaps are not caused by a lack of skill or knowledge within the performer. This workshop links root causes of performance gaps to one of six categories: knowledge, information, physical resources, structure and process, motives, and wellness. Using a performance consulting approach, you’ll uncover the steps to define, design, develop, and implement the appropriate solution.

Selecting and Implementing HPILeveraging the skills you’ve built in the previous two HPI certificate program workshops, the third and final workshop in the series will solidify your ability to lead a performance improvement project from start to finish.

Identifying the best solutions can be complicated when you take a holistic approach to HPI. Research tells us that performance gaps are largely due to IT issues, process challenges, workplace ergonomics, management support questions, hiring challenges, cultural and motivational influences, as well as a cadre of other factors. This program will highlight the process and main considerations of selecting, designing, developing, and implementing solutions that address these common performance gaps. Evaluation of solutions and other critical success factors, such as relationship management, will also be discussed.

The process of choosing and effectively implementing the “best” solutions to improve performance can get complicated. Get relevant and timely tools to manage solution selection and implementation. Learn to link the primary influence impacting performance gaps to one of six categories: knowledge, information, physical resources, structure and process, motives, and capacity.

  • Technical Requirements: The online version of this program is conducted in the WebEx Training Center. Special software is not required. You only need a standard web browser and telephone or VoIP capability to participate. There are no technical requirements for the face-to-face workshop.
  • Online Courses Only: During the online program, you will collaborate in “real time” with your facilitator and classmates via interactive group discussions, polls, chats, and whiteboards. In addition, you will have access to an online learning portal with discussion boards and program materials.

Attendance Policy

Face-to-Face Courses

Participation in all originally scheduled days of the program is mandatory in order to receive the certificate of completion and 1.4 CEUs. Participants who miss more than two hours of the entire program will not be eligible to receive the certificate. Participants who fulfill the attendance requirement will receive a certificate at the end of the program.

Online Courses

Participation in all online sessions at their originally scheduled day and time is mandatory to receive a completion certificate and 1.4 CEUs. All sessions will be recorded and available for participants to review throughout the program.

ATD requires active participation in our online program to receive credit for the program  Active participation includes, but is not limited to, participating in virtual classroom activities, discussions, breakout sessions, and intersession work.

For programs with 5 or more sessions, one missed live session can be made up by listening to the session recording in full. Participants who miss more than one live session will not be eligible to receive the certificate.
For programs with 4 or fewer sessions, attendance at all live sessions is required to receive a certificate. If you meet the eligibility requirements, a certificate will be issued to you through the ATD Learning Portal at the end of the program.
