Congratulations for deciding to embark on your journey to achieve the CPLP credential!
If you don't have an ATD login and password, please create a login at www.td.org. In the upper right corner you will see “Sign In/Register” or call ATD Customer Care at 800.628.2783 for assistance.
NOTE: If you will require special accommodations through the Americans with Disabilities Act, please contact Wendy Luikart at firstname.lastname@example.org before beginning the application.
Complete the Application:
Click the link for the CPLP application system. If it is your first time in the application system, you may need to complete additional demographic fields and indicate that you are interested in the CPLP Program.
To do this, select Supporting Requirements on the left-hand menu and thenselect Click to Respond, choose the CPLP Credential and click Submit.
Next, choose Complete a Form on the left-hand menu to open the forms page.
Under the New Forms tab, select New CPLP Application.
When completing your application, you will need to do the following:
Select a testing window for both the Knowledge Exam and the Skills Application Exam (SAE). Consider your schedule before choosing your test windows because a $300 fee applies if you transfer to new testing windows once selected.
Select an Area of Expertise (AOE) for the Skills Application Exam from among Training Delivery, Instructional Design or Managing Learning Programs. Consider carefully as this cannot be changed once selected.
Once you have completed your application, click on the Submit Form button.
After submitting your CPLP Application, you will be directed to the payment page.
Credit Card payment: Follow the process to make a credit card payment. A receipt will be created that you can print or save
Check or wire payment: Please contact ATD Customer Care at 1-800-628-2783 to be sent an invoice with payment instructions.
Changing Test Windows: To transfer exam windows please contact our Certification Specialist at CPLPcertification@td.org who will research your candidate status and process your payment and registration fee if eligible to transfer. It is not possible to transfer test windows online.
Retesting: If you need to retest for either exam contact our Certification Specialist at CPLPcertification@td.org who will research your candidate status and process your payment and registration fee if eligible to retest. Confirmation emails will be sent when the process is complete.
