ATD chapter leaders kicked off their learning and networking during the 2026 ATD Chapter Leaders Conference on Friday and Saturday prior to ATD26 officially getting under way. ALC brings together chapter leaders from across the US to connect, exchange ideas, and share best practices for leading and supporting strong ATD chapters.

The two-day, 24-session conference, led by chapter leaders for chapter leaders, covered such topics as artificial-intelligence tools to ensure chapter practices are free from bias, obtaining speakers for your chapter, and community-driven programming to fuel belonging and engagement among membership. Chapter leaders also had an opportunity to network and hear from Tina Robinson, ATD author of Developing Your Business Leaders .

This year featured a new, standalone professional workshop titled “The BOX Experience: Building Better Boxes for Chapter and Leaders.” During the event, chapter leaders explored how to use ATD’s Talent Development Capability Model to “build better boxes”—for their chapters, boards, and themselves, using guided reflection, discussion, and hands-on engagement.
