Barbara Kaufmann, is Principal of Innovative Workforce Strategies which builds on her 25 years of work as an accomplished, creative leader in all aspects of workforce development programs and social services at the local, state, and national level.

She served as Director of Workforce Services and WIB Director in Montgomery County (MD)  for eight years. In that position she was responsible for day-to-day operations, administration, financial oversight, and volunteer management. She also worked for the State of Ohio on workforce issues,.

Currently, Kaufmann serves on the Board of Center for Workforce Inclusion (CWI), the only national entity dedicated exclusively to the workforce development needs of underserved workers 50+.
