Manufacturing professional turned acciental Instructional Designer ?

I am a manufacturing professional of over 13 years turned accidental Instructional Designer for 3+ years as of 2023.
My manufacturing background opened the door to my ID career based on my insight into the many facets of manufacturing from an Operations Manager's point of view which for me included safety, quality, production, finance, HR, training, communications, employee engagement, and continuous improvement. 
Instructional Design is not an easy endeavor that many take for granted. Making sure you apply the sciences to make it into art that is effective for the learner is a challenge. It's been 3+ years and I am learning as much today as I did in the beginning of my ID career. 

If leadership fully understood how intricate ID is, companies would be a lot more successful.
