ABOUT ME

20 years combined experience in training and teaching. In my current role, I develop and deliver training, utilizing both classroom and online formats in a chemical manufacturing environment. My main areas of concentration are EHS and On The Job Skills Training. Additionally, I utilize Learning Management System(s) and online course authoring tools.

My education has been quite varied and has given me the opportunity to work in a variety of vocations. I attended Newport News Shipbuilding and Apprentice School, where I studied Marine engineering, I earned my Bachelor of Arts from Queens University in Charlotte, NC and I attended the University of North Carolina at Charlotte where I earned my Teaching Certification.

I've worked as an art gallery assistant, picture framing consultant, ship rigger, art teacher, chemical operator, industrial fire fighter and training coordinator.

At some point in the future I also hope to expand my expertise to blend teaching with social/therapeautical work in the areas of art therapy, animal assisted therapy and horticultural therapy involving school children, animal shelters and assisted living/elder care.
