Marquita Douglas
ABOUT ME

Marquita Douglas is a Senior Learning Delivery Specialist with ATD. She has over 12 years of experience in both the private and public sectors of the K-12 educational field and Title 1 schools working with the special education and ELL populations. Prior to joining the ATD team, she worked as a special education teacher in Loudoun County Public Schools, Fairfax County Public Schools and New Hanover County Public Schools (NC), as well as at the Office of Special Education for DC Public Schools as an LEA Representative/Case Manager for students placed in residential facilities.

Marquita has also spent time working with the adult English Language Learner community, serving as an instructor for the ArlingtonWorks! program in Arlington, VA which provides English classes for ELL residents and as a Parents as Educational Partners (PEP) instructor with Loudoun County Public Schools.

She also has experience in conducting needs assessments to develop training solutions, developing curriculum for online and face-to-face learning as well as facilitating professional development/ train the trainer sessions.

Marquita holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from NC A&T State University, a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction with a Special Education focus from Howard University, a Master's in Distance Education & E-learning from the University of Maryland Global Campus and a reading specialist certification from East Carolina University.
