The course begins with design. You’ll bring one real source document from your work and use AI to transform it into a complete storyboard for e-learning . You’ll learn how to write prompts that extract the right procedures and core concepts from your source material, using segmenting and cognitive load principles to decide what belongs on each screen. The result is a structured four-column storyboard any e-learning producer can follow: page number, screen content & UI, audio, and developer notes.

The workshop is organized around one guiding principle: designer-in-the-loop. AI drafts; the designer decides . You remain the content architect, making every instructional decision about what earns a screen, what learners need to see versus hear, where an AI draft is instructionally wrong, and what feedback is useful versus merely descriptive. AI never makes the instructional call; it generates drafts that you accept, reject, or revise based on explicit criteria.

Access to an AI large language model (LLM), such as ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini, is recommended, along with an AI image-generation tool for the asset activity. Access to a branching-capable authoring tool—Articulate Storyline is the default; Rise or Captivate are viable alternatives—is helpful for the hand-off step but not required for participation. Specific tool requirements will be confirmed prior to the session.
