ABOUT ME
Founder and Director of Leadership International Limited (ILM Approved Centre) and Never Mind The BuzzWords Limited. Ian has an MA in economics and finance and a diploma in learning management. He is a chartered accountant, a Fellow of the Institute of Leadership and Management and Member of the British Institute of Learning and Development. He is a certified master coach, recognised by the International Coaching Council and a master practitioner of Neuro-Linguistic Programming. He has been consulting on learning since 1997 when he created Leadership International Limited. Today, as a director of Never Mind The Buzz Words Limited, he and the team work on behavioural change – strategic, engagement and cultural change for organisations and performance and personal change for teams and individuals. Ian works with organisations to develop performance solutions through detailed analysis, designing the appropriate interventions, facilitating experiential programs and evaluating results. He passionately believes that the learning profession needs to concentrate on adding value to their organisations through focusing on what is really needed and deliver the results. The old rulebook on training has been torn up and learning professionals need now to make learning a driver for change. Ian has been involved in learning and development for most of his professional like. Alongside his accounting career, he was a lecturer in leadership with the Open University. He took has first train the trainer course in 1992 in Helsinki, Finland and went on to develop leadership programs and academies across the globe. Ian has worked in more than 35 countries including Angola, Australia, Brazil, Iceland, India, Malaysia, Russia, South Africa and the USA. As a member of the  Association for Talent Development and the British Institute of Learning and Development, Ian seeks to be at the leading edge of thinking on both organisational and individual development. Working with both major corporations and small businesses, he has considerable experience in delivering leadership and management programs that really do make a difference. Ian’s business life includes periods in oil exploration, project management, manufacturing and customer service. He has been a director of companies in the UK, Malaysia and the UAE. His accountancy background brought him into strategic, operational and financial management, and he uses this experience when working with clients. He has led significant teams who have delivered both large and small projects and understands all to well the challenges of making change both personally and within organisations.
