The ATD Master AI Learning Architect™ Program is the next step for experienced, AI-literate professionals who are ready to move beyond individual use cases and lead, evaluate, govern, and strategically scale AI-enabled learning across their function and organization. To get the most from the program, participants should already have a solid understanding of generative AI and experience applying it to L&D work. The program is designed for experienced talent development professionals and assumes at least three years of experience in a TD role. The program is offered in face-to-face and live online formats and includes 28 learning hours, along with a final assessment that demonstrates participants’ ability to apply the program’s concepts. Organizations can also explore team training, group-rate options, and customized learning solutions. Participants who successfully complete the program earn the ATD Master AI Learning Architect™ designation, a certificate, and a digital badge.

No. This program does not focus on teaching you how to build AI agents. Instead, it focuses on helping you demonstrate mastery in strategically applying and operationalizing AI within L&D—at the individual, team, and organizational levels—to achieve learning goals and meet business needs. ATD offers two workshops on AI Agents: Using AI Assistants to Power Productivity teaches you to use advanced prompting techniques with tools such as GPTs and Gems to generate content that follows your guidelines, uses your templates, and supports your work with generative AI. Designing and Building AI Agents teaches you to translate a task from your daily workflow into an automated process using agentic AI.
