Dr. Irbe is an experienced educational technologist both in the classroom and virtually. She is fluent in the technologies and techniques for learning, eLearning, and social learning initiatives. She has established and successfully managed two training departments, served as Adjunct Faculty in the GWU Educational Technology M.Ed. Program, and has developed the first web-based Latvian language training course for the Foreign Service Institute (FSI). She has spent over a decade developing accessible eLearning and training for U.S. government clients, and international NGOs, and is currently the CEO and founder of Irbe Learning Strategies. Her research work includes exploring the use of Universal Design for Learning for diverse online learners in the corporate and global arena.
