Katie Vaillancourt
ABOUT ME

Katie Vaillancourt applies her learning and development expertise, business acumen and past experiences to customize training solutions to meet her client’s learning needs.  She also works with clients to develop a corporate learning strategy and infrastructure.

Prior to starting her consulting business in 2013, Katie served as the Corporate Training Manager at Contech Engineered Solutions LLC where she worked for over 10 years.  Contech is a diversified civil engineering site-solutions company with a national presence.  At Contech she effectively defined, developed, coordinated, implemented and refined company training programs and initiatives.  She led managers on company best practices and methods to educate their teams on products, process and tools.  Other areas of focus included sales, communication, on-boarding programs and coaching skills.  She leveraged learning tools (LMS, intranet, webinars, discussion boards, etc.) to accomplish goals reaching over 1200 employees at numerous locations.  In 2013 she opened their Training Center in Fort Worth, TX.  Working for a large organization as an in-house trainer and manager afforded Katie the opportunity to work closely with all departments. 

Katie is an active member of the Maine Chapter of the Association for Talent Development (ATD) where she served on the Board of Directors for seven years (2006-2013), concluding as President.  Katie was appointed to serve ATD at the national level as a National Advisor to Chapters in 2017 for a three-year term.

She is also a member of the Junior League of Portland, Maine where she served as a member of their Board of Directors from 2013-2014. 

She holds a B.A. degree from The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. and a M.A. degree from University of New Hampshire in Durham, N.H.
