Marykate Behan Dougherty is an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) and a Project Management Professional (PMP) with over twenty years of demonstrated competence and outstanding productivity as a consultant, program manager, project leader and director. She has completed projects in North America, Middle East, Asia, Africa, and the former Soviet Union.
Her vast experience in business, combined with her warm interpersonal skills, gives her a unique presence as a powerful coach. She uses various instruments, including the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, Strength Deployment Inventory, DiSC, StrengthsFinder, and the Energy Leadership Index Assessment, to help her clients better understand themselves and tap into their unique talents.
Along with her one-on-one coaching, Marykate is known for creating and presenting a wide assortment of unique experiential workshops and group coaching classes focused on personal transformation and sustainable change. She has designed, implemented and managed ongoing programs for private, government and nonprofit sectors including a wide range of industries and companies at every organizational level.
She has a Masters in Human Resource Development from George Washington University and received her undergraduate degree in Business from Mary Washington College. She served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Uzbekistan, is a black belt in Tae Kwon Do and is active in many community efforts, including being a foster parent and serving on the board for the Literacy Council of Northern Virginia.
