Congratulations to the March Chapter of the Month, Hawkeye. The chapter hosted a breakfast for 13 local executives in talent development. After a facilitated discussion, attendees identified a comprehensive list of trends and challenges in talent development. The list was sent as a follow-up to the attendees for validation, and has been used as the basis for its monthly chapter programs, professional development events, and annual fall conference, to be held in September. In addition, this event enhanced the visibility of ATD, given that 50 percent of the attendees were not familiar with ATD prior to the breakfast. Due to the increased visibility of the chapter and its targeted programs, organizational support, financial support, and participation in all chapter meetings and professional development activities increased in 2016.
